Painterly Screen Printing on Silk (Polychromatic)
Immerse yourself in a full day of expressive, colour‑rich screen printing as you explore painterly, polychromatic techniques on cotton and silk. This workshop is designed for those who want to push beyond flat, single‑colour prints and discover the fluid, intuitive side of screen printing. Working directly with dyes you’ll learn how to blend, brush, and manipulate colour on the screen to create beautiful one‑of‑a‑kind designs.
You’ll begin by experimenting with mark‑making and painterly application methods, building confidence as you explore how dyes behave on fabric. Through guided play and sample‑making, you’ll develop a personal palette and visual language before moving on to your final piece. By the end of the day, you’ll have created a unique printed silk neckerchief, perfect for framing, wearing, or incorporating into future textile projects.
All materials are provided, and the workshop offers a relaxed, supportive environment ideal for confident beginners and experienced printers looking to expand their creative toolkit.
